Over the past couple of years I have had a reaction that causes acne type bumps on my forehead. It took a while to figure out what has been going on. Since we have so many different chemicals around us everyday, it has been difficult determining what I had introduced that was causing my problem. It turns out to be sucralose. I was finally able to figure it out because of the "Propel" drinks from Gatorade. In an attempt to avoid soda I tried these drinks and liked them. Over several days I had at least one drink each day. The reaction was strong. It takes a while for the sucralose to get out of our systems so that is what was causing my difficulty in nailing it down. I can tell within a few hours when I've eaten something with sucralose because my forehead starts to get itchy.

And yes I do shower regularly, so that is not the issue....

The reason that I mention it here is that there are alot of protein powders etc that have sucralose. The ON whey I use does not, but the ON casein that I have used does (I just bought a new tub which sucks). I have noticed that other whey powders use it.

I know that Mercola is a questionable source of information but here is a link to his article. http://www.mercola.com/2004/apr/14/splenda_reactions.htm
