I have a serious problem. My husband told me my feet stink. :( I know that my shoes sometimes smell, but I use a shoe deoderizer in them. This morning it was bad enough that he asked to me go wash my feet, and wouldn't kiss me because when he got that close he could smell them. I can't smell it at all!! :surprised: Anyone know what to do for my feet?? Not my shoes, my actual feet!! Any help would be appreciated!

Foot odor usually comes from bacteria. When the feet sweat, bacteria and toxins are coming through the skin. You could also be breeding some bacteria under your toenails if you haven't had a good pedicure in a while.
Wearing socks can help soak up the bacteria and you should change them frequently. When you don't wear socks the shoe soaks up and breeds the bacteria. You should take some time and give yourself a good pedicure too...making sure that you clean out underneath your toenails and around your cuticle very well...remember that just because it isn't black under there doesn't mean that there aren't dead skin cells and the like. Be sure and use a foot file and buff off as much of the old skin on the rest of your feet as you can. There is a stone called a TAI STONE, this is a natural way to keep down odor and can be used on underarm pits as well. It works efficietly on feet and keeps bacteria from breeding. Hope this helps CristalBelle!! Julienne |

Wow, that's a compliment Skeys, thank you!
However, though I may be knowledgeable about odor control, I sure can't spell worth two cents:big_smile: It's THAI and you can find deodorants that contain it in some health and holistic stores, but, you would probably have better results with the on-line stores as the resources are greater. ============ Quoting from skeys: Where can you get a TAI STONE is there some store that sells it or only online? dfly you are so full of information,I love reading your posts they are so helpful. ============= |

We had a Doctor with the truth given out to a girl on a TV program called Fit Farm here in the uk. The truth was wash them- rub them with a flanel and soap, most people get in the bath or shower and rub everything except their feet. It's not an insult to you, but to all of us. Training shoes should come off your feet after 2 hours too and get 24 hours rest from you. Try also DRICLOR anti perspirant. I recently got it for my pits and feet because I sweat like a p.i.g. and smell like a trash can when hot. Look it up on the internet for the chemical name or see a pharmacist.. Oh and the stone thing works too, there is also a metal stone too, try searching the web, you will find an outlet...
Oh and finally lavender oil in a foot spa/bucket/bath or on a flanel.. |

"WHose feet don't stink when you work out?" would be my question. I wouldn't worry about it, tell him to deal with it.-------------- I have some good news! I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Gieco! |

After I washed the tootsies, they didn't smell bad, but then a few hours later they got stinky again. I am going to wash my shoes, and keep using my shoe deoderant..I guess it will just have to work!

My gym shoes don't stink but my normal ones use to, not badly though. I once heard something like there’s 2 kinds of sweat, and it’s the stuff produced due to stress ect rather than exercise that is particularly prone to stink??? Anyway when I get to the lab I change into flip flops which allow my feet to breathe and now none of my foot wear stink.

I once read but never tried, soaking you feet in tea for 20 minutes a day for a week or 2 will keep your feet from sweating. You will also have brown feet for a while.

i wear cowboy boots 24/7 ...well with the exception of working out, so then its more like 23/7 ...and sometimes i take them off to sleep 17/7....so my feet get the StAnK thing going from time to time. Its gotten to the point of where i'm afraid to take mah boots off in the company of a cute lady. Well thanks for the info Dfly, once again excellent info.
