Last week was a bad one for me. We had a family member pass away. :(
I am an emotional eater....but didn't do too bad on my diet (not real good either). I couldn't sleep and was just tired all week. I am not sure if I had overtrained from my first week or if I was just totally depressed. I think I may have started out with too much. I just jumped in and did 5 days a week.
Also, I have tried so hard to keep up with the numbers in my nutritianal plan. My numbers stay too low but I eat all the time! This past week, my body just wouldn't do it! I stayed up all night 2 nights in a row. Just couldn't sleep at all.
I am not giving up! I think I just need to slow it down a bit (3 days a week instead of 5) Concentrate on my nutritian
and then work up to 5 days a week. I already can tell a difference since I started. I'm not sure if I lost weight because it always fluctuates, But I think I look better.
I hope I am doing the right thing!!

amandamae my condolence's to your family. The diet is hard I eat like a horse and miss my marks also. I think it might be a good thing to drop down to 3 days a week and get some rest. You have allot going on in your life right now and need some time to sort things out. - Mike

If working out helps you now, thats good. If it doessn't, its ok not to worry about it. Losing 2 nights sleep will certainly take it's toll on you. You will snap back when the time is right. I'm very sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family, i agree totally with both guys replys. Knock it down to 2-3 days a week until you feel your up to doing more. You best of all know your body and have to adjust your regiment to fit its needs. Don't overtrain but don't do to little either. Good luck and again my condolences!

Amandamae,
I'm so sorry for the loss of your loved one. Grief is extremely hard on a person physically. Try very hard to rest, even if you don't sleep. Eat what you can, when you can and don't be too hard on yourself for stepping away from your plan briefly. You will soon get your balance back physically, though of course, the emotional aspect takes time, everyone at their own pace.
My thoughts are with you.
