Yeah, taking it at different times will change the numbers you get...due to water weight and food intake. Take it in the morning before you eat anything, because even if you took it after lunch, who's to say that one day you don't eat more than another. Ravenwolf's absolutely right.

I only weigh myself once a month now and I do it around the same day of my cycle. I would get too freaked out with the ups and downs. I get on and off 3 times and stick with that number until the next month. I take my measurements on the same day. We women just have too many variables.

Yes there are too many variables for woment. Time of month being the biggest. Some people gain up to 10 lbs of water just before the time. Weight also fluctuates daily due to water intake and salt intake. It is best to weigh yourself once a week on the same scale at the same time of day to really monitor yourself. Give yourself a break at the time of month. Don't get obsessed with the numbers. How does it look and feel. How are your clothes fitting. Is it mostly fat or muscle. REmember a lb of muscle takes up less space than fat thus looking smaller and is more attractive of course and firm. Weighing yourself constantly can literally drive you nuts and discourage you.
