With such a topic so broad we truly try to cover the basics from all angles in this group. Nothing too big or too small. Nutrition is as significant if not more as exercise is to reaching your goals so learn all you can.
but since I've started back to work, I've been slipping on my workouts. I only get to the gym a couple times/week. (if that -- sometimes only once)
The question I have is..............I've stayed with my eating program (ie balanced diet with protein, carbs, fat every meal) and wondered if having the high protein in my diet without working out regularly will affect my fat loss? Will I gain?? I know not working out regularly won't help me lose or stay firm, but I'm still mixing protein powder with my meals.
have checked out the basal metabolism calculator? (fitbuddy search)... From that you will know how many calories you need to maintain your body- that is the amount you can eat without gaining weight or losing weight(on average)..
me for instance can eat about 1800 calories and no change.
Trim your portion size back a little bit at every sitting while not training- don't change your diet as that could be yo yo time!!! just a little tweak if your concerned.
Have a stand-by all over body workout routine planned when you do find a big gap in your regime to make up for it and make it a bloody hard one- you'll be fine!
