I've been lifting for about 5 months and have put on 7 lbs. But in the past month and a half i just keep fluctuating b\w 179 and 183 and can't seem to break out of my rut. I'm 5"11 and am 20 years old. I'm up at college so eating right is kind of hard but in the summer i will be moving to atlanta and will be able to eat a perfect diet, my problem is i can't seem to put together a good formula for putting on lots of muscle. I see gains very easily and am naturally built so i believe with the right diet i can see awesome results. here is my diet so far.
10:00- 3 scrambled eggs a bowl of cheerios a bannana and 2 glasses of orange juice.
1:00 Met-rx protein bar and sometimes an orange
4:00-whatever meat they have at the cafeteria a salad mashed potatoes and an apple.
7:00-turkey and potatoes an some sort of fruit
10:00 peanut butter sandwhich, raisins, and some beef jerkey

can someone help me make some adjustments here. And give me a good diet to follow in the summer for putting on some good weight when i can eat perfect. I am also taking creatine and AST VP2 whey post workout.

It's not what we eat or drink occasionally, but what we consume on a daily basis that determines our ongoing level o health.

Justin, your problem is with the carbs. I see potatoes, potatoes and sandwich (bread). Stay away from simple carbs and switch over to better ones that are more fibrous/complex. Get rid of the cherios! Eat more protein, and good fats. Beef jerky is high protein, but also tops in sodium (salt). I know it's hard but try changing a little bit. And if you can dump the yolks from the eggs it will help, and get another white.
Hope this helps and good luck in collge and sports.

Go for the real oatmeal. Try and stay away from foods that come in a box, or a can. Usually they have gone through processing, making the sodium too high.
