real quick, i know if you eat (certain foods..) before bedtime, it'll add unwanted fat to your body.. But I was wondering if this is true even for naps during the day. When i get back from work, i go to the gym, then come home, have a protein shake, then about an hour later i have a small meal (salad+lean burger w/o bun, chicken breast with green beans) then usually i hit the sack for 1-2 hours. Now during that time, am I putting on extra fat? I know the 3 hours after a workout, your body is kind of in overdrive...does that affect anything in terms of taking a nap?

For about a half hour to an an hour and a half you have what's called an glycogen window. Any food you eat during that time goes to your liver then to your muscles, as glycogen. After that time, I'm not exactly sure what happens. Rest assured ;) that you won't be putting on any extra weight during your nap. It's probably a good thing to nap AFTER you eat, it'll let your muscles top themselves off with glycogen and get to work with the protein. I wouldn't worry about it.
