Hey everyone i am a 24 year old 6 foot 4 inch now 354 lb guy.  I started my weightloss on January 1st 2012 and on that day i weighed 401 lbs so i have already lost 47 lbs. My Goal weight is 230 lbs and i would like to do this by my 25th birthday in December which bascically gives me 9 months including this month so i must lose 14 lbs per month which i do think is reachable as long as i stay on track that is why i have decided to join this group.  By joining this group i feel that we all can meet our goals by keeping eachother on track and that what i am hoping to get out of this.  Thanks for listening i will be doing the Monday weigh ins!!!

Cole, welcome here and congratulations on your lifestyle decision. I do not want to throw cold water on your goals but losing 14 lbs a month could be dangerous.8 lbs per month is a more healthy goal. Obviously you have hit on a formula that works for you. You may want to just slow it down a bit for safety reasons. Additionally you will have much less loose skin when you hit your goal if you limit your weight loss to a couple of pounds a week. Your rate of loss may slow down naturally as you lose weight as well.

Give yourself a big pat on the back. Your achievment is remarkable. Good lick.

Cole,
that's a great goal. Don't get discouraged if you don't lose that much every month though. What is your method on losing the weight? I think this  site is a help in losing weight. I hope you reach your goal. Take care.

fervid001, can you see that it may be necessary for you to provide a bit more information? I can tell you that workout and diet are 99% of the equation. Supplements are the least necessary ingredient to your plan.
