Ive always considered myself to be pretty healthy. In high school i was a serious runner, and i weight trained a little. But lately, i dont run at all. Now im all about bodybuilding. I bet if went running, i could easily still do it, but does this mean my health has gone downhill, i wouldnt think so, but im not so sure. I alwawys wanted to be healthy, and live a long life.
Do you do any cardio, Kev? (anything that gets you heart rate above approx 65% of max)
It is a tricky situation for bodybuilders, as obviously you don't want to lose hard earned muscle mass, but lifting weights by itself (unless it's elevating your heart rate high enough for long enough eg a circuit training program) does not seem to give you the same health benefits as doing cardio (eg reduced blood pressure, etc)
