Well I am a freshman in high school, 209lbs,5'9" and i was wondering if it was possible to get down to 160 in 22 weeks.I was planing on running 45 minutes 1-2 a day, 7 days a week, and doing various lifting for about an hour, 5 times a week. While trying to maintain ok diet and drinking a protein supplement before running and lifting.Tips will help also.

first of all, peaceful42, i wanted to first encourage you. it is wonderful that you wanted to get more fit and healthy, but i also want you to keep in mind that you do have to stay realistic. don't set your self up for more than you can really handle. you can't start out trying to push extremely hard when you are not currently active (a beginner). you have to work from the bottom up. not start at the top. you will be overwhelmed very quickly. start with a 10 min warm up, do cardio by walking briskly for 30 min 5 days a week and doing your wight lifing low weight lots 15-20 reps 3 sets for each one you decide to do. Alternate your upper body and lower body every other day, work core excercises in evey day you work out and finally, more than anything CHANGE your diet.
