I know eating late at night is bad. But if you come to a situation where you had to skip a meal before a workout, is it better to eat and wait a few hours afterwards or to go to sleep straight on an empty stomach. People have told me to always eat something after a workout, is there some truth to that? Thanks

I think eating (within about 90 minutes) after a workout is important. This is the time to feed your muscles some carbs. If you feel like you can't eat because it's too late, bring a nutrition bar with you to the gym and eat it on your way home. If you drink milk - this would also be a good time for that. don't over do it at night of course, but don't starve your muscles - you will only reverse your progress.

It'd okay to eat before bed, as long as its low n fat and carbs. A protein shake before bed is good for you, so your body has constant nutrition through the night.
