no..it's not all i drink..but in my opinion i drink too much of it. i probably have about 2-5 glasses of v8 and 2 glasses of grapefruit juice, 2-4 glasses of oj, 2-5 of chcoolate milk a day (not all of them in one day) and not enough water. i don't know how to get started on water..i maybe have 2 glasses of water...i just don't like it coz it doesn't have a tasty taste to me. i'm good with keeping away from sodas or super sugar drinks.

sweetdancer82:

You could mix half a cup of water and half a cup of grapefruit juice together... That's what I do when I drink juice: I know it sounds almost demented right now, but before you know it, you won't like how think juice is without the added extra water. That's one way to get a little more water in your body...

But, overall, to be honest, water is SO essential! For energy, skin, hair, health, the list goes on... You can "trick" yourself into liking water more, or drinking more of it during the day. Drinking half juice/half water is one way. Or squeeze lemon, lime, or orange into a glass of water. Sometimes adding ice to a glass of water makes it taste a little better. I find that I actually drink more water if I drink it out of a water bottle (like crystal geyser, for example: I buy the size that is equivalent to about 2 glasses of water). During the day, I keep filling up my water bottle (whether I'm at home or at work)... And by the end of the day, I'm always surprised when i realize just how much water I really drank...

I'm not sure about whether or not it's ok to get most of your daily calories from liquid (even if V8 and 100% grapefruit juice is relatively healthy)... Don't you get hungry for "real" food during the day though? =) Sorry, just curious...;)

Good luck!

*oops! Ugg, it's too late and I got lazy and didn't
proof-read my message before I posted*!

Where I wrote "I know it sounds almost demented right now, but before you know it, you won't like how think juice is without the extra water..." I MEANT: "...before you know it, you won't like how THICK juice is without the extra water..."

Why bother fixing it, I think the grammar is off a little too;)... Oh well;)... Hope you got the jist of it;)..

I have the same problem with water.. I can't stand the taste. the only time I drink it wiothout worrying is when i'm at the YMCA and doing a workout .. I must fill up my water bottle atleast 3 times in an hour and a half while i am there. But its only 3 days a week. I think I'll try mixing the juice with water. Although I already use frozen juices where I make the juice by adding water to it.
