Just wanted to introduce myself to this community. I'm extremely pumped about the 12 week max muscle mass program. My one question is, "How do I know when and how much weight to add to the different exercises?". Thank you for your answers.

Welcome to FT!! You'll want to experiment with lighter weights at first - what you are comfortable with. If it seems too light, add more until you feel a good "burn". Be careful not to overdo it too early. (or at all!!) Work into it gradually. As you get into the program you'll get a feel for how much weight to try. Happy lifting and glad you're on board!!

A good rule of thumb for the second part of your question (when to add more weight) has to do with reaching the target number of reps...when you can do that...it's a good idea to add just a little more weight. Don't get frustrated.....it's about tearing down so you can build up. (DON'T forget to rest, breathe (when you are lifting), and drink lots of water too!)
