When do we increase the reps and sets?

When your current reps and sets become relatively easy for you (after they are done you feel like you can do a few more), you will increase the weight, reps or sets to make the exercise harder for you. thus challenging your muscles.

so we have to increase it manually? I thought it would update for itself
