No matter how hard I try I just can't stay motivated. I mean I try to get on the treadmill for at least 60 min, but then halfway through I'm just like 'this is boring' and walk away. Then I tried running outside, you know, like having a destination, having to actually run back to my house, cuz you can't just stop and be done, you'd be out in nowhere. But then I got tired of that. I mean I do pilates , but that only works my butt and thighs, and I don't have any sort of problem with those. I just REALLY need to lose weight from my chest and lowere stomach, but just...don't know how to. Cardio can only help so much. I think I wandered off subject here, but if you get the jist of it could you please respond with some helpful hints?

Final verdict is YOU JUST DON'T WANT IT BAD ENOUGH!

The more you want it the more ways you'll figure out of mixing things up and the more willing you'll become to focus on DIET!

I think you should try to do things in small incremental steps. Running on the treadmill for an hour is quite a bit (for me anyway) so why not try just for 15-20 min. Then mix your workout with some upper body exercises. This will make working out much less boring if you do a variety you things. You didn't mention anything about a gym so I suggest that you join a gym if possible, if not, get a set of dumbells and go through the exercises for a home workout on this site.

Also you could add music, get a friend to join you but most importantly, if you still find that you can't get yourself to work out - get someone who will not let you off the hook and tell them your commitment to get fit.

At least you're here looking for solutions and I respect you for that, many people just give up. Remember that results aren't immediate, they will only show if you take consistent action.

Start lifting weights. Try powerlifting style workouts. The focus on lifting heavier weights may help keep you motivated.

Try interval training for cardio for 15-25 minutes. Few times a week. Look up HIIT posts.

I first started on my tredmill with my ipod running towords the wall. I then decided to turn on the TV and turn off the ipod. I then had the ipod on and just kept the TV on as something to look at. Now, its getting warmer so im going outside and running with my ipod.

Music helps me get my head out of what im doing (just make sure you dont start walking the entire time). I also recommend you bring a friend/family member or maybe even a dog to come with you(if the dog is trained not to attack people lol).

Also, look up some exercises you can do, or make up your own.

Yeah, if possible, i get new songs for each workout i do that add up to my desired workout length, and i won't stop until the last song on my playlist is over. I just keep them new so they dont get repetitive but i like going to techno music (sandstorm, satisfaction) because they tend to be longer songs that have a good beat.
