I am new to this and am not sure how much weight to use on each exercise. How do you determine what weight is good to start with?

Well kevw9 I have worked out in the past as far as lifting weights. I found that the only way to find what is a good weight to start with is to start with what you are comfertable with. Dont over push what you can do or else you will hurt yourself.

Exactly right. Your body has to get accustomed to the weights so it's always safer to start out lighter. Remember to go heavier with each set (as the reps. decrease, the weight needs to increase).

Good luck!

Start of lifting a weight that you can do proper form with and max out your reps. At that point, you can determine whether you can add more weight.
