I just bought bowflex and started doing strength training and there 1500 Calorie diet. I've lost 5 pounds in almost a week. I have a question should i add some kind of cardio excercise with strength training or not? Because in the dieting plan it said doing more excercise wont help. I'm new to all this working out stuff and dieting. Also How many days should i strength train on the guideline it said do it for only 3 days(M,T,F). Just wanna know if i'm headed the right or wrong way.. thanks alot in advance..
I am doing weights 5 days a week exersing only one or two body parts plus cardio after. You need the cardio to help burn calories and you need the strength trainging to help gain muscle that also helsp burn calories.
If you are going to lift weights 3 days a week, the days in between like tues thur and sat do 30 minutes or so of cardio.
