I am going to be doing a sprint triathalon at the end of june. It will be swimming 300 meters, biking 14 miles, and running 3 miles. I have never done one before and just started training today. I borrowed a strength routine from a tri web site that suggested lifting total body, low weight high rep. Does that seem effective? I also did the elliptical for 35 min (no pool available today), biked 7 miles, and ran 2. DOes that sound ok? I know I need to increase intensity/duration and add swimming but I don't want to do too much too fast. Anyone ever competed in one that can offer some advice/suggestions.
