Is it OK to take creatine with Kool Aid(cheap substitute for welche's juice)? I have heard that some people mix their creatine with Kool Aid. But, the first ingredient in all Kool Aid packages is citric acid. This is the same acid that is in orange juice(which is not to be taken with creatine). I have done searches on ft but cannot find any relevant info. Any help is appreciated.

I think the insulin spike may be too high...there's tons of sugar in Kool Aid. I would stick to grape juice, plain old water or even your protein drink.

Water will still work? I thought an insulin spike was needed when consuming creatine.

Also, since I am taking glutamine as well, would it be OK to put the creatine and glutamine into my protein drink or shake after my workout? I heard you should eat a shake 10-30 min after taking glut and creatine.

Yup...glutamine, creatine and your protein drink should not interfere with one another in your body. As a matter of fact, most protein drinks already have a fair amount of glutamine in them. Some, even have creatine as well. The insulin spike from the protein drink should help transport creatine into your system better than plain water.

One more question...Another topic I could not find info on is creatine and glut mixed with crystal lite. There is citric acid in crystal lite but it doesn't have much sugar. Would it be alright to make a drink with crea, glut, and crys lite?

I think that could work. Just compare the GI (glycemic index) of crystal lite to grape juice. It should be about the same.
