I just started boxing, and I want to know...What is the best workouts to improve boxing attributes? Ive learned that a heavy benchpress actually Slows down handspeed and such. But what should I focus on?

check out powerlifting/strength forum..

You should focus on big lifts....which you can use in a variety of ways....you can alternate training heavy for power(with speed or strength training) and repetition training for endurance....point is to get stronger without getting bigger...which is important in boxing....

bench press in itself is fine...it's just overly emphasized by many people...it has its place in a strength workout....I would stress other bigger exercises first though..

Variations of squats, deadlifts, pull ups, dips, bench presses....
