With such a topic so broad we truly try to cover the basics from all angles in this group. Nothing too big or too small. Nutrition is as significant if not more as exercise is to reaching your goals so learn all you can.

I have decided to bottle out of the challenge

I couldn't do bench press properly last night due to left shoulder probs and I can't do squats or DLs because of my back at the moment (I BLOODY HATE JOINT HYPERMOBILITY!)

On the plus side I am feeling reasonably comfortable with my appearance at the moment, which is such a rare occurence, I think it is better to enjoy it while it lasts, rather than ruin it by becoming obsessed with body fat measurements, which would be the only category I could enter, as I'm not trying to lose weight either.

Unless somone comes up with a way of measuring cardio for the challenge, in which case I'm in.

Heck if you cant be an athlete be an athletic supporter lol. You know we dont have a section for the cardio atheletes. Maybe Big andrew woul create a new section like cardio endurance.

why bow out? pick different lifts which u can do and do those...or pick some other entirely other goal....be able to run a mile in X time....etc...you can always come up with challenging goals....who's to say that benching 500lb is any more impressive than running a mile in 5 minutes......

We can all be participants and supporters of each other...they are not mutually exclusive...

I appreciate the sentiment, but I can't really compete in a challenge against other people if I'm not doing the same thing.

I suppose I could have my own wee parallel cardio challenge, competing against myself, but I'm not sure that doesn't just sound a bit sad :)

thanks for the good wishes everyone.

Randomgirl, don't worry about the absolute figures, it's all about percentages, and improvements, so I'm sure you'll wipe the floor with a lot of the big guys :)
