Bored Running On A Track?

I regularly run on a track and find it a little boring going in circles for 16-20 laps so I came up with a simple solution.

I do two laps clockwise and then two laps counterclockwise until I am done with the mileage I want to run. It makes it easier to keep track of the number of laps and it gives me a slightly different scene to look at.

I have also heard that it could cut down on injuries in the turns.
