Well, I finished my second strait FT program and I am loving it! It has been so great to see that the hard work you put in does pay off, and I have been very happy with my results.
However, I am just beat! I have worked very hard over the last 4 months and decided I needed to take that week off to regenerate myself and give the muscle tissue a chance to fully heal.
What I wanted to know was should I scale down my calories? I was on a gain cycle during the last month of my program, and was steadily gaining about 2 pounds a week. Should I scale this down to a maintenance level during the week off?
Any other advice for me this week that you think might be helpful?
I know it is going to be tough for me to sit still, and believe or not I am actually going to miss being sore all the time.

You do your growing during the rest period. Keep your eating the same for the most part. Some people cut the carbs slightly but some don't. You can flex in front of the mirror if you are bored.

I didn't really realize how much I needed that week off. I feel great now and can't wait to tackle my new program starting today.
Hopefully I can work even harder than I did before :dumbbell::big_smile::dumbbell:
