Hey Guys,
I once had a very good mind to quit things and stick to it. I quit Red Meats back in 97 and haven't touched em since, but i find it so hard now to quit eating the things that are bad. I will get my mind set to eating right, and I may do good for the majority of the day but then at night I turn into an animal and cant resist my cravings. Has anyone had this problem? and how did you solve it?

missenia - everyone has something they really crave but the surest way to beat it is to NOT have those things around. If you have to run to the store at night to get something that isn't clean, you'll think twice about it. :)

If you do have those things around the house, leave yourself little notes telling yourself not to eat them...

missenia...Also make sure you're eating enough throughout the day. It's easier to fight off cravings if you're just not hungry. Make sure you're eating 5 or 6 times a day as well...good whole foods. Even consider getting a snack around bedtime...I try to have a protein shake before bed. I've found that protein is one of the best things to curve the cravings.
Otherwise I agree with mike and lecter. If it's not in the house it'll be tougher to get your hands on it.
Also give yourself a cheat meal, a reward for making it the entire week. I take the kids out every Friday for a big fat bowl of ice cream. I determined that that's the one thing I was hard pressed to give up...so I use it to my advantage. I make sure I work it off over the next day or two...but it's still yummy at the time.
