I am just starting out trying to get more fit and eat healthier. Not looking to body build or gain a whole lot of muscle, just want to tone down the flabby areas and gain fitness. I am a 30 yo female who is starting to feel the effects of my metabolism declining!

Now I have allergies to both fish and nuts. I know fish oil is great for those important Omega 3 fatty acids, and fish, tuna, etc is great for protein. As are nuts. I eat a lot of chicken, pork, ham, turkey, and beef, and drink a lot of milk and eat yogurt for protein, but any more ideas on upping my protein and omega fats? I just read a post about cottage cheese for protein, so I'll be adding that to my shopping list. Anything else? Thanks!!

Other omega-3 sources are flaxseed oil, canola oil, pumpkin seeds, walnuts (but I'm not sure if walnuts fall within your allergy area)
