i think a really strong person doesnt have to be 200 pounds with bulging muscles. a strong person to me is a person who can lift their own bodyweight like do 40 push ups 20 dips 20 chinups or if a person can do one handed pushups...

I would agree. BUT, everyone has there own goals and definitions. I weigh 165 5'7 and I feel very strong.
Just the healthy feeling makes me feel strong.

True carivan, strength isn't necessarily how much a person can do. It's the fact that they are doing it. A strong person has discipline and trains and eats right on a consistent basis. They don't disappear from the gym for a few months, and then come back and decide to get back into shape AGAIN. A strong person will make living a healthy lifestyle a top priotity. I think that strength also has to do with the ability to overcome obstacles no matter how small, be it lifting 5 more pounds in a workout, or shrugging off comments that state how weird you are for caring about your body and health so much. Sorry for rambling on, but that is what I think strength is.

I think that a strong person is someone who pushes through it all. If you are doing curls, and you can't get that last rep, the strong person is the person that pushes through that one, and possibly one more. Don't give up.. That is strength to me!
