Hello.....I am new to ft. I need all the help I can get on fat-burning treadmill workouts.

Welcome to ft..

there is no specific routine here at ft for treadmill. So we'll try to share some tips and advice.

The #1 key is to keep your heart rate level up. Also, try to do the session in intervals..

ex.
5 minutes walking (warm up phase)
10 minutes jogging
5 minutes running
10 minutes jogging
5 minutes walking (cool down phase)

I just read this pretty good article and it explained a few key points about cardio. If cardiovascular is your goal aim for higher aerobic intensity. However if your goal is to maximaize fat burning then your heart rate should be lower. Use the talk test....go as fast as you can while being able to engage in a noraml conversation. Remember fat burning is aerobic therefore it requires oxygen for oxidation......Welll its some food for thought I GUESS
