Weight training or cardio?

I have recently been told that I should do more weight training then little to no cardio. I am 25 and weigh 130. I am wanting to tone and lose 10-15 pounds. In the past I have been doing like 30 minutes of cardio then continue on with my weight training. I workout 4-5 times a week and every day start with cardio. I haven't seen any results so maybe I am doing something wrong. Also as far as food goes, I get so tired of the same thing day after day. Are there any real simple recipes anyone knows of that are healthy, to change things up?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
