I'm a little concerned about traveling through Italy and keeping my weight in check. Every time I go on holiday I put on 5 to 10 annoying pounds... even on skiing holidays! It may only take a week to gain, but it takes several months to shed.

I guess I can always go back to my lifestyle when I get back.

How do you guys deal with vacations and your fitness goals?

I go on a hard-core diet starting about two and a half weeks before I go. I exercise more and cut calories for the first week, and then for the second week I cut out carbs. I wind up dropping about 10 pounds before I go, that way I can enjoy eating food without worrying about anything.

It helps if you stay in hotels with gyms though. Don't go crazy, or even work as much as you do at home.. you're on vacation!! :big_smile: Even 30 mins walking on a treadmill helps keep your metabolism going though.
