i would like to know how i can get myself from pic one to pic two. i had abs, but i couldnt get the cut like i wanted it. it was more just a flat with abs, i want them to be more defined and have that ridge that runs to the center. what exercises do that other then crunches?

For abs? You jsut have to burn off the fat and build up the muscle. Crunches, sit ups, leg lifts, leg extensions, bicycles, planks. You have to tear up the muscle fibers to make them grow bigger, so do several of the exercises one after the other. It's called supersetting, and it makes the muscle grow quicker. That should work.

Just so you know, you can do all the ab work in world and you won't see them if you diet sucks. Actually, for most people their has to be pretty strict to see ripped abs.

I just started doing HIIT training for cardio, and I have read really good things about it, plus it beats the boring old running same pace cardio. You may want to look into it, and consider it.
