What is the most prefered method? It seems either way that this takes an extra set of hands to help out?

you know that's a pretty good Q
they've got those chemical stuff now that you apply and then scrub the hair off....it burns like %*@! though....waxing is pretty painfull 2
but shaving takes like a long time and the skin gets so rough right after it..
not that it matters so much LOL

If you're concerned about getting rid of the hair for contest reasons.. then shave. First shave about 3-4 weeksout from the show, then 2 day prior. Remember that shaving causes you to hold some water so do not shave any closer than 2 days out from the show!

You want to avoid anything that might cause a rash. Shaving using shaving cream usually doesn't cause a rash, if you take your time. Waxing and chemical skin removals might have adverse affects on your skin, so they are not recommended. Keeping your skin as clean as possible is a key point during a competition, as rashes may detract from your physique.

You can also try body sugaring, but be sure to try it well in advance so you can see if your skin is going to react to it in a negative manner.

Go to a spa and have some hot chick wax ya, it hurts but you don't get the razor burn.

Wax!!! the results will last for weeks rather than having to shave every day. also the skin appears smoother and shiny rather than rough which i'm sure you are looking for.

Yowza...I've tried the shaving method and sugaring before. Sugaring took so long and hurt. Shaving dulled a lot a blades took along time.

I think I will stick to shaving, I want to compete in a year or a little over so I wont shave for awhile yet. The bod is showing some gains, but nothing great to show yet!

If i shave I get ingown hairs in my lower stomach area. Waxing is better but it sure would be nice to find another solution.

Well I say shaving is much better...its cleaner and less painful and it avoids possibility of irritation and rashes to the skin.

I think waxing is good for upper body, depending on how hairy you are. I am not that hairy so it seems like a good choice for me - also, the hair comes back finer and finer each time until eventually it's pretty much gone for good.

Waxing is the best way, over time the hair stops growing!!! Good Luck!
