5. Stay amused, some people (myself included) eat because they are bored, listen to a cd, make a goal for the day and stick to it!
6. Every night before bed, weigh yourself, take a measurement of your stomach etc and plot it on a chart on your wall, after a week you can see how well you are doing!

10. for boys, get a hot girl to watch what you are eating and tell her to make sure you dont eat to much crap. i do that now and you are more inclined to listen to someone like that then a normal person. (girls do the opposite!!)

wow you guys are great

What do you guys do for cardio?

11. Go to a friends house; some people (like me) are less likely to pig out at a friends house (sleepover excluded) that at their own house, prolly cuz we're trying to be polite.

can we have one last dance?

15. My favorite way to gain muscle and its a good cardio workout is moshing. Find your favorite local metal band and start a mosh pit. It's fun and you burn alot of calories.

16. Keep a regular sleep pattern. Don't constantly stay up till 1 or 2 in the morning. Your body has a hard time functioning the next day which limits your ability to exercise or do other things.

17. Don't Turn to food when your watching T.V. late at night. remember to give your body time to digest the food before sleeping.

18. Don't stress over everything. Stress makes you retain fat. I know it can be hard to not worry constantly about grades, tests, the opposite sex, your body, your job, the list goes on. We're at the most stressful times in our lives but seriously...relax. Remember to breathe. You do not want to have a heart attack by the time you're 25.

Okay, I must go practice what I preach...

19. Read everything you can about proper diet and exercise, leads to a healthy body AND mind.

20. Develop and maintain healthy and happy relationships with good friends = a healthy soul.

21. Depending on your outlook on spirtuality, maintain a healthy loving relationship with your higher power..

All that will equal a strong body, strong mind, strong willpower, and a strong heart....

24. Hunger is sometimes a disguise for thirst...if it's a couple of hours or less before bed time, or during any part of the day like class guzzle down some water. (preferably ice cold) This has no calories, and your body uses more calories digesting cold water than room temperature water which helps boost metabolism. More importantly keeps you hydrated which is the key to weight loss/control.

25. Get addicted. Not to drugs but to endorphins. Best high you can get. It's free and it's good for you.

26. Be vain. Look at yourself in the mirror and take time to notice the changes that are happening across your body as you work out, lose fat, and gain muscle. I think the visual stimulus is the best thing ever, coz my guy is across seas right now, and my friends aren't really the most athletic people.

27. For girls.... or guys I guess: Get a pretty dress or something that you will fit into if you lose a few pounds. It will give you the motivation to lose the weight, and keep it of, especially if you like the garment. I suppose guys can aim to look really good in a tight shirt.

29. Remember to take time out for YOU every day... even if it is just five or ten minutes. Take a bubble bath (girls be carefull not to take them too often... you can get urinary tract infections or yeast infections) Read a chapter of your favorite book before bed, or just sit in a quiet room. It will give you a chance to clear your head and it will make you relax. Just don't do anything stimulating like watching tv or talking on the phone. Take five minutes and deal with you and your thoughts.

30. If you don't get enough sleep at night it will raise your appetite by 17%.

31.When you are fixing your dinner plate... take a minute to survey everything in your mind. Think about what you like, what is healthy, what is available, and how much you will eat of each thing. It makes you more aware of just how much you are eating.

32. Eat slowly. Take time to savor the food.

33. Eat to satisfy... not to over satisfy. It takes your body fifteen minutes for the message to reach your brain that your stomach is full. That means that if you are full half way through your meal... your brain doesn't know that yet... so for the next fifteen minutes... you will be eating food that your body doesn't need.

34.When you get home from school... your first instinct is to eat. So instead of reaching for snack cakes or chocolate... eat a granola bar or fruit.

35.If you crave chocolate a lot... try eating the chocolate chip morsals. If you get the dark kind, they have ingredients that are healthy for your heart, and 3 individual choc. chips will satisfy your sweet tooth.

36. If you eat when you are not hungry... make a list of what you eat, how much you eat, when you eat, and what you were feeling when you eat it. It will help you discover what feelings make you eat more... and you can learn to do something in place of eating when you get that particular feeling.

~Hope that helped you~

38. I just started an exercise program about a week ago and it involves alot of lunges squats and running, so my legs are very sore! but my motivation to keep goin is the whole reason i started my program. The last time i went to the doctor was 3-4-08 and my weight was way higher than usual and i have never weighed this much in my life!!! When i saw that number on the scale i wanted to cry but crying wont do any good so i started exercising and watching what, and how much i eat. Now when i want to quit because my legs are sore i just remember that weight and how i never want to see it agian! i dont know if this will help any body but it motivates me to keep goin. Good luck every one!

Your less likely to eat bad foods upon instinct, if you have a plan.

43. Don't put it off until tomorrow. So many people are like "Oh, I'll start it tomorrow, because such and such.." but the best time to start is now. If you keep saying I'll start tomorrow most likely you'll NEVER start.

44. Listen to the right kind of music where possible while doing a workout. I love listening to extreme metal whilst doing my weights in the evening, such as Dimmu Borgir, Mayhem or Cannibal Corpse. Has to be upbeat music you actually enjoy, though.

I agree with DarkVortex about the extreme metal music.

45. Get a regular routine going, it helps continue working out, rather than putting it off.

if you can take small amounts of vyvanse i mean like nothing over 20mg it was orriginally a dieting pill also do a sport at school and be outgoing because when you make a commitment to be at practice then you are held acountable by your coach and teammates. i am not saying take vyvanse if you dont have adhd or add but if you do vyvanse works and it makes you loose your apetite.
