Is it true that you gain weight when you commence to exercise?

It depends on what your goals are. If you are trying to loose weight, you may gain a few pounds from working out, but you have to remember that muscle weighs more than fat. Don't pay attention to the scale when trying to loose weight, but rather pay attention to how your body feels. You may gain a little weight at the start when you are trying to loose weight, but you should notice that you are loosing inches. Depending on how much effort you are putting in you will notice the pounds starting to shed.
Either way, if you are trying to gain weight or loose weight, it all depends on your diet as well. Your diet plays a huge role, if you are trying to either bulk up or slim down.

The best thing I can say to you, is forget the scale, and focus on how your body feels and appears!
