My boy is on 50mg of paxil and wants to start creatine. Is there any interactions between the two of them?

Thanks

As creatine is a food based substance, there is no interaction between it and Paxil

Most things do not interact with anti-depressants (Iam on Celexa). My dr pointed out that if I were to takea drug, like advil on a long term basis, then there might be an interaction problem, but a one or two time usage is fine.

But with SSRI's,like Paxil, food based interactions are very very rare..

mystic I was going to say something along the same lines....however as I am not a doctor nor a pharmacist so I decided it's best not to give such advice even if you know quite a bit about it whether from person use or from reading about it....we have to remember that everyone is different and have their own peculiarities....

Also how old is the person taking it? If he's under 18 years he has no business taking it....ditto if he has less than 1-2 years of consistant balanced training....

He's 24. And has been training for quite some time. But, your advice is best. He is going to speak to his psych to make sure everything will be ok.
