Sorry....hit enter by mistake on first post.
I am looking into starting a new workout routine and I do not have a gym membership and at the current time I can not afford to buy any sort of exercise equipment. Thus, I am looking for a no weights (body weight only) workout routine. Basically what I am looking for is types of exercises and how many sets and reps.
I also had a question about cardio workouts too. I haven't worked out since my sophmore year in high school when I played football, so I am pretty much starting fresh. I know that walking is a good start, but I would like to eventually like to do be able to start jogging. How would I go about progressing to that point? In other words, I would start off walking a couple of miles and then could I incorporate jogging into the routine.
Just so everyone knows, I am 6'01" tall and weigh 316lbs. I don't know my bodyfat percentage, but looking at my weight, you know it is high.
I know that a body weight workout can only take me so far, but this is how I want to start off.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Hector

The home exercise program on this site is a great start for someone without any weights. It looks simple but it will get to you. As for cardio, walking is a good start. You can also do some form of HIIT. most of the times HIIT is broken down into 20 minute sessions but you can shorten that time frame.
Also, as for equipment, look at WalMart or a simular store for a small bench and weights. I got my whole set up which was weight bench with leg attachment and lat pull down, approx 250lb of weights and 4 dumbbells for about $120 total. i did not get that all at once so it still was not sticker shock.
Good luck
