Recently moved to Greensboro, NC, and wondered if any local board members could critique the local fitness clubs? Which club would you recommend? Relative merits etc... Or those to avoid etc. Thanks.

I would avoid big name clubs and instead look around ...ask people in the neighborhood....a lot of the time garage gyms are the best ones around(plus they'll often be much cheaper)...you have people who are devoted to lifting and who have all the needed basic equipment and whose knowledge will be tremendous in helping you....

If you are serious about great results then every gym you look at....look whether they got some basic equipment...whether you're an athlete, powerlifter, bodybuilder, average guy wanting good results....like a Power Rack(or another version freeweight squat rack although not as good....), barbells, a lot of plates(100s, 45s, etc), heavy adjustable benches, heavy adjustable DBs

Often overlooked important equipment:
pull up bars, dips, chains, bands, chain belt, etc....
