I recently had my tonsills removed, at 19 i am pretty active excercising 6 to 7 days a week, so can imagine its a bummer that i can do extensive activinty for two weeks. My concern is the weight drop, im 5'11 159lbs and 8 percent body fat, i mean i reall have no fat too lose so its all muscle. is there any like shakes or very very soft foods i can take to you know keep my muscle as much as possible?

As to my knowledge there are no foods that allow you so keep muscle. However, if you are able to just do a light workout, even a home workout (i.e. pushups, situps, etc.) You will manage to stay where you are at. Since it will only be a 2-3 week break I wouldnt expect for you to have an extensive loss in weight.
best of luck

rexy...I think what you're getting to is you're limited on the solid foods you can eat and you're wondering what you can do that's soft other then Jello and ice cream. Read up on protein shakes, the excess protein will help maintain lean mass through this period as it will feed your muscles.

Either way you can still try to get some activity as VTC says to stimulate the muscles either way with pushups and stuff basic calastenics(sp?). The stimulation of the muscles will help them to uptake the protein from the shakes as well. However try to limit the shakes to 2 or 3 a day through this period. If you can keep the sugar and bad fats out of your diet and the protein intake up through this period you will likely lose some body fat, but minimal muscle.
