Ok so Ive been taking supplements for 2 months now and been thinking of trying creatine next month. But what should I really expect from using creatine? Does it *really* help in any way?

I have to admit that it heoped me. I used it for the first time about 2 years ago. When I started I weighed around 220lbs. and I used around 240lbs for my heavy set on bench, about 6 to 8 reps. After using CM for about 3 months my weight was about 237lbs and I was working with 290lbs for about 6 reps. I broke a 300lbs. max for the first time ever, and even maxed out at 365 on one fine day at the gym. I haven't used it in a while and have lost some strength but some of the size remained and my max is still around 330. Also during that time my arms went from 17.5 to 18.5inches! They are still 18.25.

There are reams of research that says that CM really does work. But evidently not everyone will experience such dramatic results from it. I don't eat much red meat and this may have something to do with my success with CM. I assume that you are aware that if you use it you should make sure that you consume mass quanities of h2o.

You're right about meat sources of creatine but it is damaged by heat so you have to eat your meat RAW-good luck with that one. Lots of water needed because the cells want it.

Stick with good old powder, then just follow the directions on the label. Take it for about 6 weeks, then stop for 1-2 weeks. Then, start all over again.

Studies have shown an approx 10# gain with creatine due to water being "pulled" into the cells. This is called voluminzation, and yes the muscles gain size. There is a reported increase in strength but not in endurance. Endurance athletes may not want to carry around the extra cellular water and weight. There is conflicting reports as to cycling creatine due the lack of long term side effects studies.

I have always cycled 8 weeks on, 8 weeks off with creatine. I always seems to see a platue at at 8 weeks, so i just stop taking it for awhile. The nice thing is that as soon as i stop taking it, all of the water that it was retaining on my body suddenly dissappears to reveal "an awsome display of muscular feat.".....anyhow...i think your body kinda grows used to it pretty quick, so be sure to cycle with it.

I have had good results with it. I think it also helps speed up recovery time.

Creatine is going 2 be very helpfull. It will increase your muscle size at first due 2 absorbtion of water.u will get the power from your workout. But take plenty of water around 8-9 litres during your loading phase or else lose your kidney
