With such a topic so broad we truly try to cover the basics from all angles in this group. Nothing too big or too small. Nutrition is as significant if not more as exercise is to reaching your goals so learn all you can.
I'm new, just signed up for the nutrition program. It suggested 115g protien,1532 calories. What should I eat to get that much protien? Im female, 115 lbs, 23% body fat. Isnt 1500 calories too many? I usually cant loose weight at 1200 cal. Help!
It’s generally the fat content of the food you eat that makes you gain weight, not as many believe the calories. A calorie is just a measure of energy. With more exercise your body will need more energy to help your muscles grow. You will probably find that with the ft nutrition program you’re consuming less fat than you’re used to. By the way – how tall are you?
As for your protein question; try eating more fowl, or white fish (like tuna), red meat is high in protein, but usually also high in fat. If that doesn’t give you the extra protein kick you need try a high protein bar like Met-Rx (generally 30 – 34 g of protein per bar) or some other protein supplement.
Hope this answers your question.
