I've been trying to lose all the extra inches on my stomach for YEARS now! I seriously look like I'm pregnant because I'm a really thin person, but then I always have to be sucking it in because I've got at least 5 extra inches around my waist, and I'm getting "love handles" now too..
I came on this site about 6 months ago and did the abdominal workout that was suggested and kept with the diet plan for over a month, and NOTHING happened! I actually think I was gaining weight.. dont know what I was doing wrong but it was REALLY frustrating!
A few yrs ago I went on this high protein diet for a few weeks, while just doing 50 pushups, 50 crunches, and 10 mins of running a day. And it was working really great until I got lazy. I wish I could find where I got that diet from but I can't remember!
Can anyone help me!! ..please?

a month is not a very long period to make sound judgements about the effectiveness of a diet program....on a good diet you should lose about 4-8lb a month....but you also have to consider the hormonal balance in women which can cause water fluctuation in the body during certain times of the month....in addition how strictly did you follow the diet? I know half a candybar here and there won't kill you but it does add up....and can be quiet enormous amounts of calories(some people make the mistake of getting very high fat/calorie dressing on their 'salads'...then wonder why they are not losing weight...not saying this is your case....)
I suggest that instead of looking for some fad diet/exercise plan....you instead look to....revamping your diet and exercise plans.....
-eat 5-8 times a day with meals and snacks....space meals every 2-3 hours....
-don't eat any carbs 2-3 hours before sleep...instead have some cottage cheese, yogurt, or handful of nuts....
-drink a gallon of water daily....
-walk at least 30 min daily....if you're a runner then run 30-60 min 3-5 days a week....
-do 2-3 day full body weight lifting regimen....using big compound exercises like full squats, deadlifts, pull ups, bench presses, etc(and don't worry...you won't become 'bulky' or overly muscular...instead you'll burn a ton of calories for days by speeding up your metabolism and speed up weight loss process...)...you're wasting your time with curls and crunches...and other bs....like machines...
-try to eat 40% of calories from low fat protein sources, 40% from complex carbs(yams, kashi, sweet potatoes, lentils, buckwheat, brown/black/wild rice)...and 20% from healthy fats(flax oil, virgin olive oil, seeds, nuts, fish)...
-don't expect super fast results...only fag diets promise them and you will almost certainly gain everything back when you stop with them...because most of them are unsustainable for long periods.....
-take in at least 25g of fiber a day
-reason you got lean body everywhere except misection is because this is the first place you probably tend to store fat in your body...so be patient...give the weight loss program about 6 months to judge its success....
-start eating bodyweight*11=daily calories while dieting....if you feel too hungry or you're doing a lot of cardio...the upper end of the suggested workout(5 days of running lets say for 45-60 min)...then add 500-700 calories on top.....
-finally there are some supplements which can be helpful to your dieting success....
-fish oil to preserve muscle while dieting
-hoodia gordonii to blunt the hunger
-multivitamin to make up for any vitamin/mineral deficiencies in your diet...
-caffein in pill form will give you added energy before a workout......don't combine them with coffee/tea/soda though
good luck...
