do a search on fitbuddy for grocery tips. there's a couple of threads. don't be put off if it says for bodybuilders. the elements are the same. good proteins, complex carbs, healthy fats and cutting down on sugars like cakes, biscuits, crisps, fizzy drinks etc. just try and make the healthiest choices available to you - and don't be afraid to try new stuff.

i've been reading various medical journals and health magazines. And a few fruit i work into diet more often are appels (red for antioxidants) and blueberries (same for antioxidants). And oddly enough I read an article that claimed in a european study that yogurt boosted metaoblism rates by 25% over a 2 month period when eaten 3 times a week. Also look into foods with high glycemic indexes the lower the better. Unless looking for a sugar high. :)

I'll post this again here, just in case you don't read the other thread.

I'm going to make this simple so you can follow it, but I hope you don't think it's TOO simple that you don't think I'm serious!! This is my opinion, my personal plan:

- LOTS of fruits and veggies
- stay away from processed foods (white flour/sugar)
- tofu / low fat protein sources (if you're really gung-ho, non-animal if you want)
- limit or exclude dairy (usu high fat) - and go for soymilk, etc

It will depend on your metabolism and what you've done to it with starving yourself, but normally clean, unprocesed foods are a sure way to make sure you don't gain fat. They are low-cal and most bodies burns them extremely efficiently.

Hope this helps! Let me know if there's anything more I can do!

Just a warning since the topic phrasing worried me: don't look for foods to eat for weightloss. These are actually the new foods that you'll be eating for the rest of your life. Weight comes back when you stop a diet, so the diet you select will have to be sustained permanently. Set a reasonable outlook and a matching diet.

Take a modest goal and hit it, then take stock of how things are going and that's when you decide if you can go for a harder goal. At least if you don't make that harder goal, you'll have gotten used to the lifestyle necessary to maintain the modest goal instead.
