Help! I just signed up and I'm anxious to get started, however, I couldn't find a place to enter that I am a Type II diabetic and my nutritional plan has A LOT of carbs in it and that scares me. I'm not sure of the best way to adjust it. I've tried Atkins and became very sick on it and had to stop. Any suggestions on how I can adjust my diet?

There is nothing wrong with carbs in themselves, it is the carbs which cause a rapid rise in blood sugar, like sugary snacks, white bread and pasta etc, which can be problematic. Stick to complex carbs like vegetables, oatmeal etc and you should be fine. Do you see a dietician regarding your diabetes - maybe they or your doctor could give you advice, depending on what medication you are on?
