With such a topic so broad we truly try to cover the basics from all angles in this group. Nothing too big or too small. Nutrition is as significant if not more as exercise is to reaching your goals so learn all you can.
I have nothing against vegetarian/vegas or the quasi..however some of those facts were misleading....
increased protein intake does increase blood acidity...which increases body's need for calcium(to bring PH level to a more neutral balance)...however 'this leads to osteoporosis' is a very ill formed argument...sort of like a black cat crossed my path therefore I will have bad luck for the rest of my life.....eventhough there's strong evidence of this...this has not been proven with any conclusive evidence.....
this depends on genetics, level of exercise, lifestyle, nutrition, etc...
thus I think the cause/effect link is fairly weak.....there are a ton of other compounding variables that probably never crossed their minds yet may make a huge difference....
Also something is not a 'myth' if it's true...if more vegetarians are democrats than republican....than it's not a myth that vegetarians are more leftist...
If more women are vegetarian than it's also not a myth if that so happens to be the fact....
The person who wrote this....has a lot of reading to do...
I see nothing wrong with it except at the very end...

I have a problem with them jumping to conclussions....
just because whenever a black cat walks in front of you...and you observe that on those days soemthing 'bad' happens...doesn't mean that next time a black cat crosses your patht hat soemthing bad will happen...
just because I flip a quarter....10 times and all 10 times it comes up heads....that it will come up heads on 11th turn or that it definitely will come up tails on 11th turn...still 50/50....
