I weigh 120lbs, am 5 ft 7, and 15 years old. I am curius may i stunt my growth doing weights? and my mate sed don't do my legs cus that will, but i wud have thought your back wud b more likely to.

Also how often should i be doing weights? some site i read once a day, but differnt muscles each day. Other sites i read every other day and all muscles in that day. So whats right?

Thanx

weight training will not stunt your growth. as to how often you should be doing weights is dependent. check out the programs offered on this site for beginners to get a guideline.

Weight training will not stunt your growth.
In fact, if done correctly, strength training can improve your bone mass density.
You should be doing it 3-5 days a week. Do not combine two large muscle groups in one day.
Here are examples for splits.

3 Day Week:
Mon- chest, tris, calves
Wed- back, bis, shoulders
Fri- thighs

4 Day Week:
Mon- chest, calves
Tue- back, tris
Thur- thighs
Fri- shoulders, bis

5 Day Week:
Mon- chest
Tue- back
Wed- thighs
Thur- shoulders
Fri- arms

just one point to emphasise.. keep the form correct.. do the workout correctly.. perfect form.. if u kept ur form perfect u'll see ur body grow nicely.. but if the form is wrong.. then there might be some undesired results...
