This has been really driving me crazy. Last time I check I had 7.8% body fat and I even got as low as 6.4% last year...but I still don't have visible abs. I can feel them. They are rock hard...they just don't show up. It's really annoying. I mean...I can do several hundred crunches in one sitting. Still, I don't see a six pack. When I flex my stomach it's doesn't look horrible. Like right under my chest muscles I have lots of def and little muscles rippling all over...but when it comes to the mid and lower stomach...there's little if anything. It's really frustrating too because I'm really toned everywhere else. I just can't get the abs going. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciate...

P.S. I hear a lot of people saying keep your diet "clean" and stuff like that when I looked at other ppls posts about abs. What does that mean?

you're describing my exact situation....I am at around 6-7% bf and still have poorly visible abs....i think you say 2 contradicting things tho...you first sya they are not visible...then u say that uc an see top 2-4 well and others not as well...what does thsi mean? It could mean a difference of 3-4% in bf.....you usually see ab definition when you dip below 10%....and very defined abs at around 4-6%......depends tho...

cleans diet means common sense....no junk food, no cokes or sodas, no chips, dips, pizzas, fried foods, no hydrogenated /partially hydrogenated fats(look under engredients), moderate sodium(so stick to under 2000mg), etc etc etc...

it means 5-8 meals/snacks a day
gallon water a day
gettign 1g per lb of bodyweight of protein
eating right amounts of complex/simple carbs
and eating healthy fats....

also high reps don't work that well for abs....instead try doing them with plate, or DB, or putting bench near cable station and doing them with the weight...stick to 10 reps...do them explosively on way up....chest to knees and then slowly on way down...

good luck
