Im 14 years old, 130 pounds and 5'9. I've only lifted once, about 3 months ago when I was still 14 and my max bench was 100. Is this low for my body weight, age, height?
How often should I start lifting? What is a good program to start on, I signed up for one here but it doesn't incorporate benching, squats, etc. Also, will lifting at this age affect my growth?

are you sure it doesnt incorporate benche and sqaut? perhaps you only seeing one day. take a look at the program again.

and NO, bodybuilding at your age doesnt affect growth at all. in fact, it helps you growth. i am 18. i was 14 when i start to lift, not as heavy as i have being working fot the least year, but it was ok.

the sooner your in, the better man. doint be affraid to lift. go slow, dont force ytour self at first.

very important to remember to eat a lot. if ypou eat like a pussy, you will be a pussy. your choice

thanks for the advice,
I decided to go to the gym today and apparently my new max bench is 140? I don't know how I became that much stronger over a period of 3 months without lifting. Maybe the reason for this was because I was using one of those benches where you twist the bar to lock it which keeps my form better and last time I was using a regular bench.

Hey there buddy dont worry about if your to young to start lifting. I don't believe you are ever to young to lift. However, don't try and push yourself over the limit. YOu could end up hurting yourself or worse. When I first started working out it was actually when I was eleven because that's when I started rock climbing. DOn't worry about if your stronger then others just be who you want to be but don't hurt yourself.
