dont fret, just have patience.... it takes years to change shape. i was about 225 pounds and now remain a pretty constant 175 to 180. It's been about 2 years of learning to not diet at all. but to change my lifestyle.
and change doesn't work for a fixed mind that believes in short term fixes. when you say you can't afford a specialised plan do you mean money or time. it can't be money as healthy food is cheaper than the average diet from lifestyle changes we do here. i mean breakfast should be oats - how cheap is that. fresh fruit and veg, pasta, rice is so cheap.. and running/walking/cycling is free as there is no congestion charge on it.
don't say ''but i don't like cabbage'' or ''i cant run'' because the answer is then stay fat and unhappy, be ill, have a stroke, die younger than you would, be deppressed etc...
make some small changes, like cut back on wheat and meat, add in cereal and fruit, buy a smaller plate, plane 6 daily meal times, call an apple and a yogurt a meal or a slice of toast with sardines- kick start with 2 weeks on an atkins style diet. best of luck, keep posting and win slowly
