Is decline easier than regular bench press? This is what I have been hearing and if so I got a question. I can did close grip decline today and got 315lbs and on close grip bench press I can do 320-325lbs and on 280lbs on close grip incline. Is there something wrong? For some reason I feel decline hardest. Could it be like that because I hardly ever do decline? I have only done it 2 times in the last 12-18 months. Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks

your "soposed" to be stronger in that lift I THINK cause of the lower posistioning. The upper chest is higher up, in relation to your body, so the range is shorter, also the decline hits like 80 somthing% of the fibers in the chest.....flat and inlince only hit like 70 somthing%

i know quite some people that are fairly equal on all three lifts... but usually people are stronger on decline and weaker on incline... i guess you just have to get used to it, and eventually it'll all equal out, i guess... i do lift slightly less on inclides, though, but flat and decline are just about the same...
i guess that's just the way i am, though... everyone's different, so i don't think everyone is supposed to lift at a certain ratio or anything... some people can bench more than they can squat, and some are the opposit... bleh...

you should squat way more than you bench, considering the legs have the biggest muscles in the body, just my opinion.

right, but that doesn't mean everyone is supposed to be like that... specially when they're just starting out...
