I watched the strongest man on TV, the "Arnold" round, and my husband and I wondered how common steroid use is with these guys.
Is it pretty well regulated or not?
We saw strongest woman a while back, and it was obvious (due to increased jaw line) at least one woman was, but the others looked ok.
Any one know?

i know for a fact in britain that seroid use in strongman is very, very rare and that you would not get away with it, and would be shunned and excluded from events. i live in the town that mark ilif lived in before he trajically commited suicide whilst holding the britains strongest man title, and he was a giant of a man through eating, i talked to him a couple of times, so that is how i know this stuff.
R.I.P mark.

I don't really know much about how these guys train, but I've noticed that quite a few of them die at very young ages from heart attacks, etc.

thats because they did no cardio, old style strong man was just strength, so thats what the guys worked on, and as they got bigger their hearts couldnt keep up. these days theyve introduced some more cardio and indurance events rather than just static strength, so the guys taking part are in better, leaner shape than they ever have been before. they also just ate alot of everything, like fried breakfasts everyday, and stuff like that, so it didnt help. this is what ive been told, some from the horses mouth.
