I am getting a tattoo this saturday, and one week from then I will be going to the beach. Will i have enough time for it to heal enough for me to get in the pool with it? I know i will have to put sunscreen on it, but will it effect it even though i have sunscreen on it in that short period of a week's healing time? Thanks for your help.

I wouldnt go to the beach, and if I did I would keep it covered. I would not get into the ocean. Take a look at the claws on my chest, a perfect example of going to the beach after getting a tattoo.

I would ask your tattoo artist but I think you might have to wear a patch.

I would wait on the tattoo. It's not that often I get to go to the beach and I wouldn't want the funky tan line or not to be able to get in the water.

Stupid question, but, if you're going to the beach, why would you be going into a pool?? I guess the tradeoffs between salt water and chlorine are trivial, but, I'm not expert.
